Trevor & Kendall’s First Home!

First home photos! What a great idea! It’s not a common thing you hear about but I have to admit when Rob and I take that leap and buy a house I will most definitely be taking “First Home” photos. Trevor, Kendall and Hunter (Kendall’s Son) bought their first home and contacting me to do a little photo shoot showcasing their new place. I think it is such a cute idea to remember how excited you were when you bought the house and all the progress and love you put into it years down the road. I’m hoping this becomes a trend because I loved taking their first home photos and hope others jump on the bandwagon! Enjoy! Xo

I’m Engaged!!!!

I have to say this last weekend was by far one of the best weekends of my life. It all started with my amazing family and friends throwing me one AMAZING baby shower for Rob and I soon to be little boy Tucker James. I know it was my baby shower and of course I am going to say it was amazing…but truly it was the best baby shower of all times. I have been slaving at home making all the crafts and decor for my dream “Little Brave Man” themed shower with the help of my cousins Brittany and Caitlin, while my best girl friends who I have known since the third grade and my mom took charge of everything else. I knew it would be cute but combining the crafts I made and the hard work my friends Trish, Kris, and mom put into this the shower was above my expectations. Quotes from my Nana when she saw the final look of the baby shower was “Holy Cow are baby showers usually this elaborate?” Well I guess when you have a photographer as a soon to be mommy, friends who are creative (one having a fashion degree) and a first time Nana to-be (my mom) planning the Baby shower I guess things can get a little “Elaborate” ;-) (I will make a a blog post later with more detail and photos from my shower)

Once the shower was over my mom (who is also one of my assistants at weddings) took Rob and I maternity photos. In the middle of our shoot Rob stopped and said he wanted to take pictures using a prop that he had brought with him. He pulled out a yellow card that said “To my mommy, Love Tucker”. The card was written very sloppy, I later learned Rob wrote the entire letter with his left hand so it looked like Tucker Wrote it) Before I read the card he made me go over to the tree section of the location we were at and picked a tree that reminded him of a family tree so my mom could capture me opening up my first “Mothers Day” card under a family tree. As I was reading the card (photos Below) I got to the section where “Tucker” asked me to share his last name with him and Daddy…I was in disbelief..I couldn’t believe that this could be happening right now by the time I turned around to look at Rob to ask him “is this what I think this is asking me” Rob was already on one knee with the most beautiful ring I have ever seen. I couldn’t control my tears, which then left him crying (He may kill me for telling everyone that oops :) but it was so sweet) once I could talk again I of course yelled out “YESSSSSS” I coudn’t have asked for a better day with a better ending. I woke up as his girl friend and went to bed as his fiance. This has been such a surreal week and I am excited for our new adventures to come. Here are the photos from the engagement yest. I am so happy my mom and him planned this out so we can forever look back at this moment.

Baby Brooklyn’s Rustic Pink Shower!

This shower was anything but your standard “Pink” baby shower. The mommy to be and her family/friends who helped put this shower together gathered the perfect amount of vintage decor using burlap and ribbon for its rustic accents. Being pregnant with my first boy and photographing this baby shower makes me want to have a little girl in my future so I can mimic this shower. Everything about it was perfection and made with love. All the desserts were homemade by the mommy to be’s mom aka Brooklyn’s Grandma, game prizes were mason jars made to look like baby bottles filled with dry ingredients to make homemade cookies. Here are some of the photos to help you live the showers rustic dream like I was able to do through my lens. Enjoy!

The Stone Family!

I just love this family. I photographed their son Parkers first birthday a year ago and I am so happy they have wanted me to continue photographing their family as Parker gets older! It is so much fun to be able watch him grow and be able to capture their family through my lenses. Xo
